About the event
Come join Keep Ashe Beautiful and the Todd Community Preservation Organization in Todd on Saturday morning, November 7 from 9:00-12:00 to plant 2,600 yellow daffodil bulbs. The Golden Trail began in November 2024 when volunteers planted 2000 bulbs around the light poles in the Foster-Tyson Park in Jefferson and continued in 2025 with plantings in the median going to the Ashe County Courthouse and the Lansing Creeper Trail park. A variety of bulbs suitable for USDA Zone 6 are selected for a long-lasting bloom time. These daffodils provide a burst of yellow at the end of winter when little else is in bloom.
With each new location, Keep Ashe Beautiful moves closer to establishing a trail of daffodils throughout Ashe County.
*Inclement weather date is November 14
